Elements Montessori offers multiple Classroom age groups.  At Elements, we truly embrace Maria Montessori's philosophy of following the child.  We follow the lead of the child and at each child's pace.  It is very normal for every child to be at their own pace, it is the Montessori guide's responsibility to observe that pace and provide the appropriate environment for the child.

At Elements Montessori, all of our classrooms provide the Montessori environment necessary for our children to be able to have the knowledge and routine of a Montessori classroom, in order to allow for an easier transition into the Transitional and Primary classrooms.

Montessori Infant
6 weeks - 12 months

The infant years are personal touch and visual and verbal stimulation.  Our infant team allows our infants to explore as they develop their individual personalities and grow in s safe space.

Educators give infants individual attention to help them develop and take impressions of the world around them.

They are trained to focus on:

  • Basic needs of the child

  • Exposing them to natural materials

  • Observing the child to know what to offer them

  • ensuring they feel safe and loved in the school environment

  • Creating as stress-free a classroom as possible

Montessori Toddler (12month-18months) & Montessori Transitional (18 months - 3 yrs)

The Toddler years are the time when children use their bodies, senses and emerging problem-solving skills to learn about and make senses of their worlds.  Our Toddler and Transitional classrooms allow them the freedom to learn as much as they can, as quickly as possible.

Educators give toddlers individual attention to help them build skills in:

  • Sensory and Perception

  • Care of Self & Environment

  • Development of Social Relationships

  • Control of Movement - Physical and Motor Skills

  • Language - Exposure and Development

Montessori Primary and Kindergarten
3 years - 6 years

Have you noticed that children tend to see things that adults find ordinary as very interesting and special?  Practical life exercises like sorting, pouring, or washing dishes absorb them completely.  These practical life exercises not only stimulate brain development and coordination, but allow for development of concentration and focus; two things that most non-Montessori children struggle with.

This is the prime age to begin to focus on control and coordination of mind and body. That’s why Montessori learning revolves around tangible experiences. Children use concrete materials to learn math; movable alphabets to explore language; and cubes, cylinders and other objects to categorize, find spatial relationships, and more.

Our Primary Program includes:

  • Science and Nature

  • Sensorial

  • Care of Environment

  • Language Arts

  • Cooking and Nutrition

  • Cultural Awareness

  • History

  • Geography

  • Mathematics
